The Island Community Clinic Society (ICCS) is pleased to welcome Lyn Olson, Rebecca Johnston, and Sherry Leigh Williams to its Board of Directors.
Their appointments come at an exciting time for the organization. Over the past year, ICCS has continued to build momentum, strengthening its governance, expanding partnerships, advancing strategic planning, and laying the foundation for a sustainable primary care program that will serve Salt Spring Island for years to come.
Over the past year, ICCS has continued to build momentum through stronger governance, growing community partnerships, strategic planning, and the advancement of several key initiatives. Today, the organization is simultaneously working to improve attachment to primary care providers by identifying interim clinical space and advancing team-based care, while planning a permanent community home that will support an expanded interdisciplinary primary care program for Salt Spring Island.
Together, these initiatives represent an important step toward a stronger and more sustainable future for primary care on Salt Spring Island. ICCS is working with healthcare providers, community partners, and funders to develop a coordinated model of care that improves access for patients today while creating the capacity to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community for years to come.
