The Island Community Clinic Society is proud to share its first-ever Strategic Plan 2026–2028, a roadmap guiding the next phase of strengthening primary care on Salt Spring Island. The Strategic Plan describes the coordinated work planned to take place in three interconnected streams: developing the primary care program and services that will improve attachment and access for patients; working with our capital project funding partner, Lady Minto Hospital Foundation, to plan and develop a future primary care health facility; and building a strong, sustainable community-governed organization capable of leading and supporting primary care for years to come. Together, these three streams form the foundation of ICCS’s vision for the future.
At the heart of the Strategy is the development of a team-based primary care program designed around the evolving needs of the Salt Spring Island community. At the same time, ICCS will continue working with Lady Minto Hospital Foundation to advance planning for the future primary care health facility while strengthening the governance, leadership, and organizational capacity needed to support long-term success. By advancing these three priorities together, ICCS is laying the foundation for a sustainable, community-governed approach to primary care that will serve Salt Spring Island for generations to come.
